Project Bookmark Canada celebrates locally-inspired writing by installing Bookmarks - a plaque bearing a selection from a notable Canadian literary work set in that location.  Previous bookmarks include:

· Garbo Laughs by Elizabeth Hay (Bronson Place at Colonel By Drive, Ottawa)

Sleep Giant Writers Festival

August 28-30, 2009 | 7:00 p.m.

Fort William Park, Thunder Bay

The Sleeping Giant Writers Festival brings premier Canadian authors to the city for a weekend of workshops, readings, and interaction with festival attendees. It's the largest literary festival in Northern Ontario, held in the shadow of Thunder Bay's Sleeping Giant.
